On 20 September the terrace of The Royal Hotel on the Prom was invaded by cheery English speaking AVF members who were very pleased to have the opportunity to network in the language of Shakespeare.
Many of the French-speaking participants had a good to excellent level of English, whereas the majority of English-speakers (British, Italian, American, Algerian, Swedish etc.), had a good to excellent level of French.
The apéro, which will be repeated, much to the participants ‘demand, was a lovely opportunity to make new friends across language barriers.
